In this episode, I spent some time with Kenna Whitnell, the founder of a new cambridge based cosmetic business called Altilis Beauty. I’ve been following Kenna’s road through entrepreneurship for the past few months and I’ve been very impressed - in her 3rd year of University at the University of Guelph in Chemistry, she currently has a factory headquarters in Cambridge, has done some really interesting research regarding breadfruit as a potential sustainable cosmetic ingredient, has developed a few breadfruit based ingredients for her products and is very knowledgeable about sustainability within the cosmetic industry. In this podcast, we talked about her road to starting Altilis Beauty, the research she's done and ingredients she’s been able to produce, why innovation is important in the cosmetic industry and sustainability in cosmetics. Learn more about the work Kenna’s doing at www.altilisbeauty.com, on facebook @Soleluna Cosmetics, and on Twitter and Instagram @AltilisBeauty
