How can biotechnology help us create greener, and better products? This podcast featured a roundtable discussion with Christian Euler, strain engineer at Phycus Biotech, Jasmina Aganovic, entrepreneur in residence at Ginkgo Bioworks, and Kevin Folta, horticultural researcher and host of the Talking Biotech Podcast. We talked about what's out there and what may be out there over the next decade, impact, challenges (e.g. with scaling up), certifications and how they should and could grow with the science, regulations, and the hot topic of "GMOs" - misconceptions, which there are A LOT of, vs reality. What does the body of scientific evidence have to say at this point? This was one of my favorite panels recorded - the potential of biotechnology is something that I'm really excited about.
